Comment on Madeline Street project by Aug. 13

The public is invited to comment on the Madeline Street sidewalk improvement project, in an online open house, through 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13.
This project will build a sidewalk on the north side Madeline Street, between 180th and 185th avenues. The public is invited to comment on which side, north or south, is preferred for the remainder of Madeline Street, between 185th and 192nd avenues.
The online open house includes proposed sidewalk placement and potential impacts.

TONIGHT: Cedar Mill Flood Remediation hosts open house
An open house on flood mitigation efforts being considered by the Cedar Mill Flood Remediation Collaborative will be 5:30-7:30 tonight [Aug. 1] at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 12405 SW Butner Road.
The collaborative will draft a Declaration of Cooperation to establish a road map that agencies will follow to prioritize and fund projects to help reduce flooding impacts over time. Public comment is needed. Learn more
Comment on the draft 2018 Regional Transportation Plan
The public is invited to comment on the policies, strategies and project lists included in Metro's draft 2018 Regional Transportation Plan.
The plan will establish priorities for state, federal and regional funding and help set the stage for the new and expanded options for people and products to get where they need to go. Projects are submitted by city, county, regional and state partners and evaluated for what they will do for the people and businesses of greater Portland.
Ways to comment (before Aug. 13):
Walker Road open house is Aug. 8
The public is invited to comment on improvements planned for Walker Road at an open house from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 8, at Portland Community College (PCC) Willow Creek Center, Great Room, 241 SW Edgeway Drive.
This project will widen Walker Road, between 173rd and 185th avenues, to five lanes (two travel lanes in each direction and a center turn lane.)
Additional improvements include:
  • Culvert replacement at Willow Creek
  • Traffic signal at Walker Road and 178th Avenue/Cambray Street
  • Bike lanes
  • Sidewalks
  • Sound walls
  • Street lighting
  • Storm drainage upgrades
  • Landscaping
This project is in the design phase. Construction is anticipated for 2020. Project dates are estimates and subject to change.
