Ghiaia Nera

The Nerello Mascalese grape makes a wine as alluring as its name sounds. The Tascante Ghiaia Nera is both bright and concentrated, with acidity framing the ripe red berry fruit flavors that are mixed with spice and savory notes to create an enjoyable and intriguing wine.

Greetings from Burlington Wine Shop,

Our lineup today comes from all across Italy. These are some exciting wines that illustrate the variety that exists within the overarching similarities of Italian wines. We look forward to seeing you at the shop this afternoon.
Wine Sampling - Wines of Italy
       Saturday, September 14th - 1:00 - 7:00pm

We'll begin today's tasting with Mercato Pesce ($10.99), a white blend from the Veneto with lively acidity, stone fruit and citrus flavors, followed by Massimago Zurlie (Reg. $15.99, Sale $12.99), an Italian PetNat also from the Veneto with its frizzante style integrating beautifully with its nose of peach and fleshy white fruits that followed onto the palate. For reds we'll begin with Chateau Feuillet Torrette (Reg $23.99, Sale $15.99), a medium bodied red from Northwest Italy with a rich texture and smoky red fruit flavors, then we have Tascante Ghiaia Nera ($19.99), a Sicilian wine made from Nerello Mascalese showing bright red berry fruit with spices developing on the finish, and we'll end things with Angelo Negro Nebbiolo ($19.99), a beautiful wine from Piedmont with grippy tannins framing rustic dark fruit flavors..
