Youth and Adult Sports Programs
Contact Sports are still not permitted under California's current reopening phase

The District has received a lot of questions about the status of our very popular Youth and Adult Sports Programs and whether they are returning in the Fall. We are happy to hear that so many of you are ready to come back and play with us!

We, too, are hopeful that our sports programs and leagues will make a return with new and updated safety rules and protocols soon. Howeve r, at this time, it is difficult for us to forecast when that might be. Contact sports leagues and competing in athletic games are still not permitted in the current reopening phase that El Dorado County has been designated. The El Dorado Hills Community Services District Staff are in close contact with the El Dorado County Officials to stay updated with any new information. We will inform you all as soon as it is safe to return to play. Thank you!

Construction Continues at Community Pool
Parks Department Projects Pool Resurfacing will be Completed Early August

While the Parks Department oversees the current construction, our Recreation Department is working out details to open Community Pool after the resurfacing work is complete, AND the State has advanced to Stage 3, AND we have our lifeguards fully onboarded with additional health and safety protocols in place. Other aquatic programs like swim lessons are yet to be announced. If we are able to provide lessons, we will have minimized participant numbers, as well as those previously mentioned health and safety protocols in place.

Splash Pads Remain Closed
Parks Department is Exploring Safety Protocols for EDH Splash Pads

The District is considering new protocols, and reviewing possibilities with the goal of keeping our community safe at our splash pads this summer. We will keep the community updated on our website and via social media with more details soon.

Kalithea Restroom Awaits Concrete Work
And Parks Department explores additional evening security

The restroom at Kalithea is near completion. Next week concrete will be poured, and once that is complete the Parks Department will open the restrooms, and the gate. The District is also exploring additional security measures as neighbors report unacceptable activity including but not limited to after-hours visitors, amplified noise and drone use. Signs to display park rules are currently being designed to alert park visitors.
