We continue to thank God for taking care of all of us around the world during the challenges of the day, knowing we can trust Him through whatever comes our way. Thank you all for continuing your faithful giving to this ministry which has allowed us to continue to pay our 70 national staff members in Kamonkoli, something that is not happening with many employed Ugandans that have been unable to work during the lock down. As the limits have lightened a bit during the day, those staff members that live within walking distance have been able to return to do at least some work as we focus on delivering food to hungry families, maintenance projects, skill upgrading and all those things sitting on the back burner while there was so much to do.
At this point schools have not yet opened and we are unsure if they will do so for the 3
rd
and final term of the year in August. Please pray that they do as not to waste the entire year for the children as they do not have good “learn from home” options and many have uneducated parents who are unable to help their children in their studies. The government has put out some written materials for parents to pick up for their children. Our Genesis teachers are just beginning to consider some small-group, socially distanced ways to begin working with their students to help them not completely waste this time away from regular instruction.
