Parents-

Many thanks to all who attended last night’s School Information Night. It was so good to meet many of you for a second time and we look forward to many more opportunities to get to know all of you and your wonderful children.

We are happy to announce that Presentation School is welcoming three new staff members: Diane Baker in Educational Technology, Warren Starr in Band, and Amy Nelson in Music. Short bios are listed below.

Diane Baker comes to us with 15 years of experience in the area of educational technology. She has served as a computer lab teacher and was a key player in online testing. Diane brings a high degree of technology literacy and is experienced with Microsoft as well as Apple software.

Warren Starr was the Coordinator of the Hill-Murray Parish Schools Band Program from 1984 to 2016, and was the Band Director at Presentation School for nearly 30 years before his retirement from Hill-Murray and Presentation in the spring of 2017. He is happy to be back, doing what he loves at a school he loves.

Amy Nelson holds a degree in Music Education from Bethel University. She sings in the choir and plays her clarinet at her home parish of St. Charles Borromeo. She also enjoys performing in local theater musicals. She and her husband have been blessed with six children. Teaching at a Catholic school allows her to share her faith along with her passion for music performance and music education.

You have done a fantastic job making us feel welcome here at Presentation, and we know you will do the same for our new staff members. This is truly a great community.

God Bless,

Mary Kane Ed. S.
Gary Faust Ed. S.
Volunteers Needed!

We are in GREAT need of volunteers to help supervise students during recess. This is a very important and necessary volunteer role. It is a huge help to the teacher assigned to monitor recess to have another adult or two present. Having another set of eyes and hands helps ensure that our students are safe while playing. Please consider making some time in your schedule for this. You can help at one or both recesses any day of the week.

Recess Supervision - 11:40-12:05; 12:05-12:25

If interested please contact the school office at 651-777-5877 or email Linda Charnowski
Back to School Bonfire

Please join us for one of our favorite traditions at Presentation: the Back to School Bonfire! Bring a chair or blanket and meet on the RRRRR field at 7pm for a fun and fellowship with your Presentation family! We will show the Peanuts movie at 7:15 and there will be a Boy Scout-built bonfire to keep us warm. Food, beverages, and glow sticks will be available for purchase as well.

We could use a few more volunteers to help make this night a success. See open volunteer opportunities here .
NWEA Testing

NWEA testing will begin earlier than last year with a start date of Sept. 16. We will ensure that the system is ready for your children to test Sept. 16 - Oct. 4. Please make sure your children arrive at school well rested on those days and try to avoid any unexcused absences. Once completed, the test information will be used to pinpoint the learning needs of grade levels as well as individual students.
North St. Paul Fall Round Up Parade!

Presentation School will be marching in the North Saint Paul Fall Round Up Parade! Join us on Thursday, September 19th to represent our school to show off your Panther Pride and help us hand out goodies to the crowd! We will meet at 5pm and line up will begin at 5:30. The parade starts moving at 6:25 down 7th Ave East, the main street of downtown North Saint Paul. Please sign up here to let us know you will be coming.
