Distribution: All Active Volunteers

As many noticed yesterday, Box had service outages for a few hours, preventing everyone from accessing the Marijuana Policy from the SBA.  Box is now back up and running smoothly, and the link below should now work.  Apologies for the inconvenience.
Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives

Thanks to everyone for your interest in our diversity and inclusion initiatives at the NLC. Many of you visited our exhibit booth and were excited about the information displayed. Everything is located in the NLC app and in the Volunteer Center. (Scroll down to Diversity & Inclusion).

If you have any questions or would like to have more information and share ideas, email Beth at [email protected].
SBA Information Notice - Marijuana Policy

Startup Success Virtual Conference -
October 24th

Attend the Startup Success Virtual Conference on Thursday, October 24th from 12 - 5 PM ET.  You can register for the virtual conference here.

This one-day online event, presented by SCORE and FedEx, will offer 9 educational webinars, one-on-one mentoring sessions, networking chat rooms, exhibitor booths, prizes and resources.

Participate in this free, online conference to listen to practiced advice on current business strategies, meet other business owners, and chat with industry experts!

A virtual conference allows individuals across the nation to participate in an online environment that has the look and feel of an in-person event. The conference is hosted entirely over the internet, and with just a few clicks, attendees can ask presenters a question, collaborate with fellow entrepreneurs, chat with exhibitors and download content - all from their computer or mobile device.
ABC Radio Special Report on SCORE
ABC Radio in Baltimore recently did a special report on the impact that SCORE has in the small business community. Both Thomas Shipley (Baltimore) and Hal Shelton (DC) were also featured for the great work they are doing in their respective communities. You can listen to the story here.

As always, we want to thank all of our volunteers for all that they do.  It is truly making a difference!
Accounting Reminder - Detailed Receipts
Please remember to submit detailed receipts for any meals on any expense reports.  This is a new policy.  If the detailed receipt is not available, the volunteer will still be reimbursed but as an unallowable cost from unrestricted chapter local funds.
