Multicultural Initiatives Fund (Project Funding)
The deadline to apply for SaskCulture's Multicultural Initiatives Fund - Project Funding (MIF-P) is October 15, 2019. MIF-Project Funding aims to advance multiculturalism in Saskatchewan by supporting projects encouraging people in the province to share, learn, appreciate, respect and accept cultural diversity.

Let's Merengue and Do the Cha-Cha at Vintage Club Copacabana
Creative Kids' Vintage Club Copacabana is rolling the clock back to 1948 to spend a night in "the hottest spot north of Havana." The evening will take you 70 years back in time to experience the authentic music, dancing, cocktails and drama that made Copacabana famous. Tickets are now available for this Creative Kids Regina fundraiser, happening Saturday, October 19th, 2019. All proceeds go towards supporting the dreams of children and youth in Regina who face financial barriers to participating in arts and cultural activity.

We Will Stand Up
Screenings in Regina
The Common Weal Community Arts, in partnership with the Regina Public Library (RPL) and Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative, is holding a free screening of the film nipawistamasowin: We Will Stand Up. The film is about the impact of Colten Boushie's on his family and the community. It will be screened on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the RPL Film Theatre in Regina. nipawistamasowin was made by Saskatchewan filmmaker Tasha Hubbard, and recently, it won the best Canadian feature documentary award at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. Workshop: Personal Narrative as a Tool for Social Change
In partnership with Dunlop Art Gallery and Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative, the Common Weal Community Arts is hosting a workshop on Saturday, September 21, 2019. The workshop, which will be led by Trudy Stewart, the associate producer of nipawistamasowin: We Will Stand Up, will explore the power of personal narrative as a tool for social change. CIF Community Grant Program Deadline
The application deadline for the Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) Annual Grants is October 1, 2019. Annual Grants support programs and projects that enhance the healthy growth and development of children and youth, individual and community well-being, and/or non-profit and community leadership. The grant supports programs that are no more than 12 months in length and are not summer programs. Visit the

Mental Health First Aid Workshop
Upcoming mental health first aid workshops are being offered in Regina on November 18 and 19, 2019. The training is designed to give members of the public the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing the worsening of an existing mental health problem, or in a mental health crisis. Volunteerism
The scope and value of volunteerism in Canada is impressive. It is estimated that one in three Canadians volunteer. The value of these contributions is well in excess of one billion hours a year - an estimated 500,000 full-time jobs. Saskatchewan has been recognized as the province with the highest per capita rate of volunteerism for several years in a row - higher than the national average.
