SAMCEDA Survey - Please Provide Your Input!
The San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA) launched a survey to collect information to help design, develop and implement the most impactful tools needed for small business reopening and recovery. Please take a moment to provide your input.

The Survey will close today, Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 5 PM .

You may receive a duplicate request since SAMCEDA is also reaching out to all those who took the Business Economic Impact Survey we launched in late March. You only need to complete the survey once.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce Guide to Re-Open Your Business
COVID-19 has impacted every business differently. Every business will face tremendous challenges as our nation begins to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has prepared a  guide  to walk you through the steps your business will need to take to reopen as restrictions are lifted across the country and your business prepares for the 'new normal'. 

New Library Curbside Pickup Service Begins June 2
The City of Menlo Park will begin offering limited “curbside pickup” of library books and audiovisual materials. The new curbside pickup service is safe, contactless and fully compliant with public health orders.

  • Items must be ordered in advance through the library online catalog
  • Pickup will be available by advance appointment only
  • Pickups will take place outside the Main Library front doors
  • For your safety and ours, the library building remains closed to the public at this time
  • Social distancing from others (6' or more) is required at all times
  • Face coverings are required to be worn at all times
  • Hand sanitizing is required at the time of pickup

Pickup is located at the Main Library, 800 Alma St. , by appointment only between the hours of 11 am to 4 pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays starting Tuesday, June 2 . The outdoor library book return box will be open to accept returns of library materials during the same hours.

Marriage License Applications and Wedding Ceremonies Now Available Through Video Conferencing in San Mateo County
The San Mateo County Clerk Division is now offering online marriage licenses in conjunction with a virtual marriage ceremony.
Below are the requirements to complete an online marriage license and a virtual marriage ceremony:

  1. Different email address(es) for each applicant.
  2. Copy of each applicant’s valid government issued ID and proof of dissolution of marriage, if any (required only if dissolution date is within the last 90 days).
  3. Both adult applicants must be physically located within the State of California.
  4. Access to high-speed internet and capability to run the Microsoft Teams meeting application – the video conference includes both live video and live audio.
  5. Completed marriage license application

County Expands COVID-19 Testing Sites to Include Daly City and East Palo Alto
"The County of San Mateo is expanding the number of COVID-19 testing sites operated by Verily to include locations in East Palo Alto and Daly City on a rotating schedule. Verily will continue to operate its San Mateo County Event Center site on Mondays and Tuesdays, while adding the old Serramonte High School campus in Daly City on Wednesdays and Thursdays and the YMCA in East Palo Alto on Fridays and Saturdays. The new sites and schedule will begin operating on Monday, May 18 .
