Gold Coast AHA
On behalf of Gold Coast AHA, we hope this finds you safe and healthy. We would like you to know how we are navigating through the Covid-19 crisis. We have had to tentatively postpone a few of our spring/summer events pending the re-opening from the Covid in our area. Updates and more information on our events can found on our social media accounts and our website:
Instagram:   @Gold_Coast_Arabian
Website:     www.goldcoastarabian.org

We have postponed our June Coast Classic Show to September 3 thru 6, 2020 at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville. Premium and forms are posted on the website. We hope you will be able to join us then as we realize everyone is anxious to get their horses back into the show ring.
Nothing is more important than the health and safety of everyone in our community and we will be implementing whatever safety protocol is recommended at that time to ensure a safe equine experience.

We will be hosting an All-Breed Schooling Show on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Thorson’s Arena in San Martin. This show features English classes in the morning and Western classes in the afternoon including Ranch Horse Riding, lead-line, halter, and costume classes.

We are looking forward to being able to schedule more of our events, get together again, and provide some fun events for everyone to enjoy their wonderful equine companions.

THE REGION 4 REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP HORSE SHOW WILL BE HELD AT THE OREGON HORSE CENTER IN EUGENE OREGON
September 29 - October 3, 2020

As previously announced, The Region 4 Show Commission has been working hard to come up with a way for everyone to enjoy a regional horse show in 2020 and have a show that was safe for everyone. We are painfully aware that our new regional dates will be crowding folks who are also planning to attend Sport Horse Nationals. We’ve done our best to accommodate horses, riders and trainers wanting to compete at both events. We are deeply sorry for the untimeliness. We ask for your patience and understanding as we do our best to provide opportunities for all members. CLICK HERE for the Tentative Class Schedule Follow us on our  Facebook page  and check the Region 4  website  for updates. RV Accommodations   You may make RV Reservations on the Oregon Horse Center’s  website.
July 25 -26, 2020
AIM SPORT HORSE VALUE SHOW – CANCELLED.
Rolling Rock Farm – Sherwood, OR
The Arabians in Motion Board of Directors met virtually to discuss the July 25 and 26 AVS Arabian Sporthorse show to be held at Rolling Rock Equestrian center near Sherwood Oregon. Because Clackamas County has yet to enter phase 1 in reopening, the coronavirus is still active, and the safety recommendations by the Arabian Horse Association to hold a show can cause a financial burden on both the club and the exhibitor, the board reluctantly decided to cancel a live show. We are greatly disappointed that we are not holding our show this year but have already reserved the last weekend in July 2021 at Rolling Rock farm for another Sporthorse show. Hope to see you then!
August 8-9, 2020
CA$HC VALUE SPORT HORSE SHOW – CANCELLED.
DevonWood Equestrian Centre, Sherwood, OR
The Cascade Arabian Sport Horse Club’s inaugural Value Show, initially scheduled for April, is now  cancelled  for 2020. The financial risk of starting something we may not be able to finish because of COVID-19 is just too great. We’ll try again next year! Meanwhile, we know that some of you were looking forward to this show as an opportunity to prepare before heading to Idaho and Sport Horse Nationals.
QUESTION: If we were to put together one or more virtual online clinics, would that help? If so, which of the sport horse disciplines/divisions would best meet your needs? Let us know what you want, and we’ll do our best to make it happen! Please comment below or send us an email with your requests and we'll work to get something put together. Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times.

NEW DATES FOR REGION 8

The Region 8 Show Commission has been working hard to come up with a way for everyone to enjoy a vibrant regional horse show in 2020.

We are unable to go forward with the June 9-14, 2020 dates at this time and produce a show that will be both safe and enjoyable. The National Western Complex in Denver has been both cooperative and accommodating, as well as sympathetic to our concerns for our exhibitors.

However, we feel a show later in the season offers a higher probability of safety and success for all. With that in mind, we made the decision to move the show to the week of August 19th through the 24th, 2020. With this re-scheduling of the show, we are excited to be offering Working Cow Horse classes on Monday, August 24th. Trail and Ranch Horse Riding will be held on Sunday, August 23rd with the main ring classes finalizing on Saturday evening.

Region 8 will also be initiating our MILE HIGH ENGLISH PAYBACK in the English Pleasure and Country English Pleasure divisions. The Champion will be awarded $3,000 and the Reserve Champion $1,000 in both the Arabian and Half-Arabian Open, AAOTR and Junior Horse classes. The classes will have a total of $48,000 in prize money.

We are living in some very trying times. We ask for your patience and understanding as we do our best to provide opportunities for all members.

Follow us here and check the Region 8 website (l https://www.aharegion8.org/ ) for updates.

Region 17 Championship Show Update

The Region 17 Championship show has been delayed and tentatively planned for the 2nd week of September. It is hoped by that time that the Provincial Health Officer for Alberta will allow for such events to occur. Watch for notices and updates for a great show in Red Deer, Alberta

About Us.

Region 18 News
Region 18 Championships have been suspended for 2020 but we are excited for the 2021 show! Our home facility at Ancaster Fairgrounds is under construction to build a second indoor facility. We plan on no evening session on Friday, to allow us to host a social function for our exhibitors and volunteers. We will once again have our famous stick horse class with prizes and have added classes to dressage and ranch riding. We look forward to seeing everyone July 22, 23, 24, 2021.

We had to cancel our Ranch Riding Clinic in April due to the pandemic, but hope to reschedule in the Fall. We also have a (tentative) dressage clinic with Lisa El Ramey scheduled for August 15, 16, 2020. Our members have been busy participating in the May “Meet An Arabian Horse” campaign on Facebook. Thank you everyone!

Our team has started planning the AHA Convention for 2021 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. We are looking forward to an extracurricular trip to one of our local famous wineries. So much to see and do in Niagara Falls, attendees will want to come early and stay late to have time to take in the glorious attractions. We have provided the website for Niagara Falls, so you can start making plans now!

July 10-12 - Caledon Equestrian Park Show facility (home of 2015 PanAm Games) - Ontario Show Horse Classic - multi breed show including Arabians.
