Warden’s Update … Coming Soon!! September 8 th to be exact…the return of Mass on the Grass! Along with Mass on the Grass will be a Potluck Brunch (see separate note for more details) and a Ministry Fair. This Fair will be a chance to see all the Ministries in which we St. Paulites are engaged. Come one! Come all! To the Fair! See what we are doing within the church, in our community and the world. If you are not already involved in a ministry, this is a chance to sign up and share your gifts – to be Christ’s hands and heart in our world at this time. Looking forward to seeing everyone! Update on our Outreach Tithe. You may remember that the Vestry decided to tithe the interest dollars we get on the investment of our Legacy Funds received when we sold our property on Elizabeth St. To date our Outreach Donations have provided support to: ISAAC of Northern Colorado; the Beating Guns program; The Bike to Work Day; the Nappie Project; the Episcopal Service Corp. The Vestry has also pledged to support Habitat for Humanity by matching donations received from our parishioners between last May and November of this year. If you would like any more information about any of these very worthy and well-vetted programs, ask any Vestry member or either of us – all of them are non-profits which can always use more hands, prayers and, of course, operating funds. Rainbows . . . is the theme for our potluck following the 9 am service on September 8. There are so many colorful fruits and vegetables in the grocery stores and perhaps your own garden. So please bring something colorful, for example watermelon would go in the red section and carrots in the orange section. Be creative and help us make a joy-full display! Walk the Labyrinth with ISAAC In light of the domestic terrorism attacks in El Paso and Dayton, the raids targeting working families in Mississippi, and the anxiety and terror felt by so many in our own community, we will focus on walking together in solidarity, recognition and resistance, honoring the lives of those affected and committing to work collectively to end the sickness of racism and white supremacy that plagues our society.This will be a bilingual, interfaith event, opening at 6 pm with a poem and closing with a blessing and prayer at 7 pm. Drop by as your schedule allows.   The vigil will be held outdoors in the northwest corner of Plymouth Church’s lawn. Volunteers will guide you to park and direct you to the labyrinth. Over the course of the event, we will each be carrying the picture of a particular person or community, and walking the labyrinth in silence to honor those lives. Sunday Morning Coffee Preparation We no longer have a designated person to cover making coffee for parishioners before the 8:00 a.m. service, on the third Sundays of the month. Mary Jean Currier and Gray cover the first two Sundays, and Betsy and Joe Perna cover the fourth one. We no longer bring snacks, we just make the coffee, cut the Lutheran donuts (and set some of them out), and bring the cups out. Mary Jean and Betsy would be glad to train someone. Any interested person would greatly be appreciated, and they could contact Betsy Perna or Mary Jean Currier.

Nappie Project .  Have you been noticing the growing pile of diapers and other supplies in the sanctuary? Have you noticed the jug with the children’s offering for the Nappie Project? On August 25th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, we will have a “Wrap Session,” an interchurch, intergenerational gathering to place diapers into 1-dozen diaper packages to be distributed to agencies in our county, primarily to the Fort Collins and Loveland Foodbanks. Please join us. Everyone can help! Thus far, we have raised more than $1600, not counting the diapers, wipes, and diaper creams that people have purchased themselves. Food Bank Rotation Folks from St. Paul’s and Trinity will be volunteering at the Food Bank Warehouse on Tuesday, August 20 th  from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m . We have a faithful core of volunteers but more are always welcome. If interested, please email Jo Baietti for further information or call 970-223-1686.

Colorado Haiti Project GOOD NEWS For St. Paul's and for the Colorado Haiti Project  As most of us know, the Diocesan’s Colorado Haiti Project (CHP) is the local visualization and practice of our national Episcopal mission work in Haiti. Our mission is situated in the Petit Trou area of Haiti but serves as part of a national ministry. Each congregation in the Church is hopefully involved. St. Paul's Church has been so led for the last few years by Lawrence Baietti. With pride and assurance, he is proud to turn his Haiti project ministry over to Anne Toerper, long-time faithful St. Paul's member and Haiti ministry supporter. A personal word of appreciation to Anne would be nice.  Reminder  The annual tuition remains at $350 for each student and donations are welcome. Checks may be made to the Colorado Haiti Project or to St. Paul’s Church with the Colorado Haiti Project notation.  More information, particularly regarding our involvement, to come.  Visit their website.

Deadline Announcement for "Dinner with Friends" As Parishioners might have already read, the steering committee for “Dinner with Friends” is getting ready to form new groups of people that will begin meeting together for our next cycle beginning in September. If you would enjoy being a part of “Dinner with Friends” this Fall season, meeting with a new group of parishioners, you are reminded that Sunday, August 18 is the deadline for signing up after either service. St. Paul's needs 14 volunteers for Faith Family Hospitality (FFH) for the week of September 8th FFH keeps families together and safe, reduces their time in homelessness, and supports them with dignity. Their experience results in fewer disruptions – for both parents and children – to education, medical care, and family, peer, and work life.  FFH works! Opportunities for Training Trinity is hosting training for FFH volunteers from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room on three Sunday afternoons this fall: September 8th, October 6th, and November 3rd. If you are a new volunteer or if you are an experienced one who has never taken the training, you are encouraged to attend one of these sessions.
