Special Webinar Series for Support Partners
Embracing Carers is a reoccurring series focusing on the unique needs of the spouse, partner, parent, child, friend, family member, and any other person supporting a loved one living with MS. This year's series includes three webinars and two podcasts , each focusing on issues unique to support partners.
Managing Moods: An OT Perspective
For people living with MS, there is a 50% chance they will experience a depressive episode in their lifetime. Up to 40% of people with MS experience anxiety (three times greater than the general population). This is in addition to feelings of grief, anger, frustration, and erratic mood swings that are unavoidable primary and secondary symptoms in MS.

Despite the high prevalence of mood changes, many people living with MS and their support partners are unaware of these common symptoms or how to manage them.  Here are a few resources that may be helpful!

Super Rad Raygun: 90s-Style Game With an MS Twist!
Super Rad Raygun is pure retro-fun with a deeper meaning!

Developers Chris Bryant and Chris Hernandez thought it might be interesting to incorporate Bryant’s struggles with MS into Super Rad’s gameplay.

The result is an upgrade system that allows Rad to become super powerful, but he has to balance this with a limited amount of energy. So, if the player uses too many abilities, they will exhaust all of Rad’s energy, forcing them to take a brief rest to regain energy.
