Ruby Gruber, 2020 Graduate from Olympia High School (Jeannie Gruber's Daughter)

Future Plans: I will attend Western Washington University in the fall where I'll study Kinesiology.

Advice To Younger Students: When getting to understand the importance of high school or trying to get comfortable with yourself and classes, don't be afraid to take opportunities to establish relationships with your teachers and peers; it will help you in the long run!
Kohana Wellner, 2020 Graduate from Olympia High School (Nasue Nishida's Daughter)

Future Plans: I will attend University of Portland in Oregon this fall where I'll major in biology and plan to become a Physician Assistant.

Advice To Younger Students: Don't take it too seriously, enjoy yourself!
“Your calling isn't something that somebody can tell you about. It's what you feel. It's a part of your life force. It is the thing that gives you juice. The thing that are you supposed to do. And nobody can tell you what that is. You know it inside yourself.”

Teacher Leadership Opportunities
Teacher Tech Project: Teacher Leadership Summer Opportunity – Application Open Now!

CSTP recently received funding to develop the Teacher Tech Project, a quick-response opportunity to create and coordinate supports and resources that assist teachers in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to instruct in a distance learning model. Today we’ve opened up an opportunity for teachers to apply to be part of the Project and create asynchronous modules focused on instructional design and strategies for distance learning for elementary, middle and high school teachers that consider the variety of student learners in our systems. We seek to fill three teams (elementary, middle and high) to develop the modules over the summer (mostly the month of July / early August). Interested teachers can apply now and the application will remain open until filled. Applications will be reviewed starting the week of June 22 with the goal to fill teams by June 30, 2020. Go to CSTP’s website to learn more about the Teacher Tech Project.
Learning Management Systems: Questions, Issues, Learning Management What???

The Teacher Tech Project wants to hear about your experiences with Learning Management Systems, like Google Classroom, Canvas, Microsoft Teams, Schoology, Seesaw and others. What questions and issues have you faced navigating these Learning Management Systems, especially in the last three months? What confusion, questions or issues have you heard from students, families and caregivers about using these platforms for distance learning? We want to hear from you! Please complete this short form so we can capture your experiences about the Learning Management Systems you use.
