Morning Edition Makes Minor Changes to Program 'Clock'
circle representing clock face
New hourly "clock" showing newscast times in black

Morning Edition listeners might notice a few changes starting Monday, Aug. 13. The show's hourly 'clock' -- the order and length of elements such as newscasts, features and breaks -- will be changing slightly, in order to bring more depth to the interview segments, news stories and features that NPR brings you every morning.

The most obvious change will be in the placement of the national newscasts, moving from 20 and 40 minutes after the hour to the half-hour. This will mean other elements you're used to hearing at 30 minutes after the hour -- such as StarDate or the BBC Topline features -- will move to 42 minutes after the hour.

If you're the kind of listener who can tell the exact time based on what you're hearing on the air, you'll notice the changes, minor as they are. We hope you'll find it a change for the better, but we're always open to providing your feedback to NPR.
