A message from the President...
Dear Members,
This week seemed like the lull between the storm.  Our roof has been completed and all the water has been removed from the sanctuary.  We are working on a temporary repair for the sanctuary for the High Holidays and trying to accept the "new normal" until we begin the actual renovation process.   So, we have averted the first part of the hurricane, have been leery through the eye of the storm, and now we ready ourselves for what will come next.  Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, and finally Shemini Atzeret.

The call for help begins as we put together all the parts of the upcoming weeks.  I encourage all to attend Shul Day on Sunday August 26th to get a glimpse of everything to come.  Passports and seating for the Holidays, signup sheets for ushers and helpers for Yom Kippur's Break-fast, representatives from UJA, Hadassah, Kavanotes, Sisterhood, Men's Club, Hospice, Good Shepherd, and of course our Board of Directors will be on hand to listen to your ideas and answer your questions.  And... Lyne Glaser, Nikki Zeldin and their committee will be serving an amazing Israeli Style breakfast.  Don't miss it.

So, here's to the last gasp of Summer.  Beatles Shabbat, UJA Picnic, and hazy, hot summer afternoons with a 20% chance of a thunderstorm.

Shabbat Shalom.
...see you in Shul.
Barry

Treasurer's message
I want to sincerely thank those members who have responded positively to my messages over the last several weeks and have paid their remaining 2018 dues. Thank you.
For those of you that still owe 2018 dues and do not pay either monthly or quarterly, please try to make payment prior to the Holidays.
Those who pay your dues in either monthly or quarterly increments, please continue to do so. We thank you.
To all members, thank you for your continued support and generosity to Bnai Israel.
