The traffic signal at Murray Boulevard will be shut down from 9 p.m. June 29- 5 a.m. June 30 and the intersection will be flagged while signal poles are removed and the new signals made operational.
The traffic signal at 153rd Avenue will be shut down from 6 a.m.-4 p.m. July 1-2 and the intersection will be flagged for the installation of the new bridge beams. Trucks delivering the beams will be staging in the westbound lane to offload the new beams by the cranes.
During the installation of the remaining new bridge beams, the contractor will begin their operation starting at 6:00 a.m. on both Wednesday, July 1st, and Thursday, July 2nd. Traffic could be delayed up to 15 minutes in each direction while the beams are delivered or swung into place. Using an alternative route on these days is strongly encouraged.
Jenkins Road, between 158th Avenue and Murray Boulevard, has been designated a
construction work zone
and the posted speed limit has been temporarily reduced to
35 mph
. All other traffic restrictions remain in place, including lane restrictions.
Please note that traffic fines for moving violations in a construction work zone are doubled.
Project work hours are from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., weekdays; lane restrictions are from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m., weekdays, unless otherwise noted.
