Update Yahrzeit Information in Shul Cloud
|
If you have suffered the loss of a family member and wish to be notified of the Yahrzeit please log into ShulCloud with your username and password. Once you are in your account click on the Yahrzeit Tab, 3rd tab
from the left on the top. Click Add Yahrzeit. This will take you to Create New Yahrzeit. The fields are self-explanatory. For accuracy of the notification, it is important to know if the deceased died before or after sundown. You will then receive a ShulCloud generated notice by email or hard copy if no email address is on file from the Synagogue prior to the date that the Yahrzeit will be observed.
If you are unable to log in or need help to input the information into the system please contact Marsha Lustig who will be happy to help you.

5779 High Holiday Ticket Request
|
Dear Fellow Congregants,
In less than eight weeks, we will once again be ushering in the New Year. The Young Israel of Scarsdale will be offering High Holiday Services in the Main Shul, Social Hall, Sephardic Minyan, and at the JCC, as well as the Untraditional Service in the Greene Gallery.
Following the successful online process that began last year, the High Holiday Committee is, once again, offering the congregation the ability to register online for High Holiday seats via the Young Israel of Scarsdale website. As a reminder, everyone attending High Holiday services will be required to show their tickets.
High Holiday tickets for immediate family members are included in your dues. Guest seats will be available for purchase with the following options:
- only Rosh Hashanah ($150)
- only Yom Kippur ($100)
- both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur ($225).
We remind you that students and children ages 23 and older, whether living at home or not, are considered "guests" and must have seats purchased for them. Also, children who have not entered into their Bar or Bat Mitzvah year are not eligible for their own reserved seats in the JCC.
Another change that was instituted last year relates to Youth programming. Our Youth Directors, in coordination with our Youth Committee, are planning fun and substantive programming for the large number of children in our community only at the Young Israel of Scarsdale main building. The JCC will only offer basic babysitting for nursery-aged children and there will be no other supervised programming or available space for children at the JCC. Please take that into consideration before registering for your tickets.
Please note that there are two separate online forms - one for JCC only and one for all services in the main building (the Main Shul, Social Hall, Sephardic Minyan and the Untraditional Service). In the case of the JCC, where seats are reserved, seats will generally be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. Please be certain to fill out the proper form for the venue that you prefer. Members must be "in good standing" to receive their tickets.
Please click on one of the links below to register online:
We hope you will once again find
this online system easy to use. Should you choose, instead, to register using a paper form, please
click here
to print out the SHUL paper form or
click here
to print out the JCC paper form and return it to the shul office. Please do NOT register online and by paper - please choose one or the other.
All High Holiday Ticket Request forms must be received by August 25, 2018. There will be a $25 processing fee for all tickets requested after August 25, 2018.

If you would like to get rid of:
* All clothing
* Linens
Get rid of the mess and get a mitzvah!
In addition to a mitzvah, you will receive a valuable tax deduction as well!
We are collecting these items for an
organization called
KUPATH EZRAH OF ROCKLAND COUNTY
.
All items should be clean and in good shape, clothing should be up-to-date and still fashionable.
Remember: you are
giving these things to a 'close relative,' and it costs the organization money to sort
and dispose of poor merchandise.
Currently Scott Greenbaum is not able to take your donations to Monsey. Volunteers would be appreciated. Please contact Scott if you are able to help:

;
leave a message if we are not home.
May your efforts
be a z'chus for the
