After more than a year of discussion and consultation, Bishop Coyne has decided to implement a new policy for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Diocese of Burlington. Beginning in the academic year, 2021-2022, the grade for Confirmation will be the sixth grade. A committee is being formed to establish the protocols for implementing this change. Please be patient as the details are worked out and shared with the entire Diocese. Again, this will not take full effect until 2021-2022.
August 25, 2018: 9:30AM - 4:00PM

This is a fantastic opportunity for all parish leaders (including you!):

The Diocese of Burlington will host a Year of the Family Conference aspiring to equip parish leaders with tools and resources to more effectively support and reach out to families and individuals in their parishes and in their communities, as inspired by Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation, “The Joy of Love” (“Amoris Laetitia”). For information on speakers, and to register, click here!
Survey for Catechists...get $15!
  • PCLs, please send this survey to all of your catechists! They will receive a $15 Amazon gift card if they complete it. If you are a catechist, you are more than welcome to take it as well!
  • The Diocese of Burlington has partnered with the Catechetical Institute, out of Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH, for our updated PCL Certification (more information on this in the coming months). They produce quality content for the formation of catechists, parents, catechetical leaders, etc. This survey will help them continue their ministry effectively.
