Your support at our Gala will transform lives. Thank you.
Thanks to you, Adela is on a path to success...

“I had to raise my child on my own. I didn’t know if I could make rent money or if the electricity or gas was going to be disconnected. I didn’t want my child brought up in the same abusive cycle I had lived through... I am proud to say that with El Nido’s guidance and support, I’ve been able to give my son the security and love he deserves. That all kids deserve . I am proud of the mother I am, and of the great person he is becoming.”
A campaign begun in early 2019, and fueled by your generosity, culminated at our Annual Garden Gala on September 7th, raising nearly $300,000 to support critical programs for vulnerable children, youth and parents. Thank you!

At the Garden Gala, youth showcased their skills learned through El Nido’s culinary arts and business programs, and El Nido clients Anny, Adela, and Miguel spoke on how your support has changed their lives.

"El Nido is like a second family, if you don’t have anybody to talk to, you can always go there for resources, people and mentors that can help you" - Kennedy, Tech Academy youth

El Nido is a mentorship opportunity to help out youth in my city that don’t get much help - Billy, Tech Academy youth

During a recent Tech Academy cohort, Emmy nominated producer Phil Savenick worked one-one-one with South LA youth to help them articulate their unique life experiences through videography (offering training in composition, filming, and editing).

The Tech Academy was made possible by major support from Pacific Western Bank, as well as El Nido's Junior Board of Directors, US Storage Centers, and generous individual donors like you.

El Nido Culinary Academy Partners With ALDI
ALDI (Markets) partnered with El Nido's Culinary Academy to provide quality foods and assist budding young chefs in preparing fresh, wholesome foods on a budget. Culinary Academy youth served a delicious meal for more than 50 children and parents, featuring products donated from ALDI Markets. We are grateful for this partnership, and ALDI's effort to combat local hunger in and around the Pacoima area.
