I remember, vividly, the first time I tried to meditate. It was 18 years ago, I wanted to change my way of seeing things, discover my  purpose in life and find my spiritual path.  I journeyed to learn from many masters, healers from one spiritual experience and vision, to the next. The early part of my journey was more about discovering who I was beyond this body. I was focused on awakening my 3 rd eye, ascending to higher states of consciousness and the secrets of enlightenment.
 
I found healing in that, but also a feeling of disappointment, particularly with relationships. I was easily knocked off centre, especially by my emotions. I needed love. I had an ideal and story about what love and a loving relationship could be. So I began my journey of learning to love myself (self-love), finding freedom from my inner conflicts and healing my relationships.
 
The day my dad passed on, I hit rock bottom. I descended into depths of darkness. And I must confess, my deepest learnings have come from this path of descent. I dropped into the depths of my body, into this earthy-cosmic space of love and life, this deep sacredness. Accessing this dark void was a feeling of finally coming Home.
 
Now i continue upon this path with compassion and grace,  trusting this force of life, this impulse, feeling into the unknown guiding me, surrendering into this mystery moving through me. I simply feel into the way love and life is wanting to move me. To  expand and deepen my work as my journey continues to unfold so that i may help others.  
 
My passion right now is bringing meditation from the fringes to all, so more and more people can come home to their true nature, be grounded and be themselves completely.

Toby is a meditation and mindfulness coach with over twenty years of experience in teaching meditation. Toby is also an artist and spent 5 years as a Buddhist monk in the Tibetan tradition!
Toby is truly one of the foremost names in the local mindfulness scene. He is the founder of  Integral Meditation Asia , a company dedicated to helping people and organisations find greater degrees of well-being and fulfilment through mindfulness practice, and is the author of the book ‘ Engaged Mindfulness ’.
He currently facilitates the mindfulness program for the MBA’s at the INSEAD School of Business, Singapore campus. Organizations he has worked with include both government organizations in Singapore as well as numerous SME’s and MNC’s.
