There are limited opportunities for us to connect with our peers in a direct, open and honest way. This summit is a prime example of the power of the network - and the power of Taproot to be the connector."

Promising Practices from the Summit

Every year, one of the highlights of the Corporate Day of the Global Pro Bono Summit is the "Promising Practices Pop-Up Panel" highlighting innovative ideas and approaches for corporate pro bono programs. This piece showcases one of these great promising practices, from Elizabeth Linzer at LinkedIn.

At LinkedIn for Good and other corporate social impact programs, we get asked this question all of the time. It's a worthy question; nonprofits and community groups are doing great work hosting events in the community to thank donors, acquire new ones, celebrate impact and more. However, at LinkedIn, we measure employee performance based on "Leadership, Leverage and Results" - and we carry this performance evaluation system into our social impact practices as well. We're eager to respond to community needs, especially in a way that leverages our products and employee talents to maximize results.

Just how did they scale the impact of their programs? Read on to find out!

Want a Participant's Perspective? Let's hear from Monica Chaves of MasterCard

In this piece, entitled "Throw it On the Wall and See What Sticks," Monica Chaves, Senior Program Officer at MasterCard shares her takeaways from the Summit

Throw it on the wall and see what sticks - that has always been my motto! The concept that no idea is a bad idea, that you need to explore all possibilities and opportunities, that you need to throw ideas up on the wall and run them down to determine which one you want to make happen.

At the Summit, I was home! Home with Taproot's post-it note culture, which brings my "see what sticks" motto to life. Home with a group of peers who were ready to explore possibilities and discuss opportunities to further harness the power of Pro Bono.

What did Monica learn at the Summit about making ideas stick? Find out here!
