New teachers and staff began the school year in earnest with Orientation this week. All employees will attend a start of the year retreat on Wednesday to prepare their hearts and minds for the year ahead. We are excited to have all 800 young women back on campus soon and we look forward to bringing out our best!

Carondelet Athletics Complex


The Carondelet Athletics Complex is nearing completion! The turf has been laid for the soccer and lacrosse fields and the softball field is underway, too. Take a brief flying tour of the fields at the Carondelet Athletics Complex!
New morning dropoff location

This year we will implement a new morning dropoff system that will create a safer driving environment on- and off-campus and increase available student parking spots. 
The new dropoff area is near the lawn next to the chapel and the gym.

The new dropoff zone is marked above in bright green.

Parent/Guardians will now: 
  • Drive past the Academic Building and faculty parking lot
  • Turn left to pass the Convent and Chapel
  • Turn left into to the new dropoff area (marked in green). 
Carondelet staff will guide you to the new dropoff zone during the first few schoolday mornings.

Carondelet Shuttle

The Carondelet Shuttle has arrived on campus! Some seats are still available for reservation for the Fall Semester.  Reservation requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are available for the full length of the fall semester ($500) or on a monthly basis ($160/month). 

Reservations are available to: 
  • Carondelet students
  • DLS siblings of current Carondelet students 

The shuttle will have three communal pick-up locations.

Check your class schedules 

Please check  PowerSchool  for updated class schedules which will include room numbers and teachers. There have been some adjustments to better balance class sizes and staffing schedules. Schedule changes are allowed during the first two weeks of school (level changes are allowed through three weeks of school). Schedule changes to request a particular teacher are not accepted. However, if you have an individual concern, please see Dr. Chaponot ( [email protected] ).
Incoming parent/guardian access to PowerSchool

All parents/guardians of incoming students should have received an email on July 17 about how to create a PowerSchool account. For our handy tip sheet, please click here. If you are having trouble logging in or need access to the email with instructions, please contact Katie Almonte ( [email protected]). 

Incoming students will receive access to PowerSchool and Schoology at their Tech Training next week.
Tech Training reminders 

On August 13, incoming transfer students will attend tech training at Carondelet. from  12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m  at the library. Students should bring a bag lunch.

On August 14, frosh students will attend tech training at Carondelet.  The training will begin in the Carondelet library and will be separated into two groups.

Last Name Time
A - K 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
L - Z 12:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Your daughter will receive her iPad on that day only if she brings an appropriate protective case for the iPad. The school device is an iPad 2017. Please note iPad models are different sizes and require the correctly sized case. You can read more information here.

Your daughter will need an Apple ID for her iPad. She can use one that she already uses or make one with her personal email by following instructions here.  Or,  she can make a new Apple ID with her new Carondelet email at the Tech Training.
