Worship: Sundays @ 8:15, 9:40, 11:00 am | Wednesdays @ 6:35 pm
Won't You Be My Neighbor?
When Jesus was asked to sum up all of God's teaching into one commandment, he said to love God with all that we are and to love our neighbors as ourselves.  What would happen if everyone took this commandment seriously?  As the beloved television personality, Mr. Fred Rogers says, being a neighbor is an invitation to show someone that they are loved and capable of loving.  Who are your neighbors?  Do you know them?  Do you love them?  Loving your neighbor can change everything.

This Sunday's sermon is " What If Jesus Really Meant What He Said?" by Rev. Steve Price.

Missions
More than 1 million have fled the war in South Sudan across the border into a vast undeveloped and sparsely populated area of Northern Uganda. Many South Sudanese are Christians, while others are coming from rural areas with no Christian witness. Aid and relief organizations have largely not reached these areas, and severe hunger is rampant amongst the children and their mothers, which make up the majority of victims. Many Christians in Uganda are bravely responding and pleading for help. This week two Trinity members, Andrew Mankin and Meghan Williams, will join with Kid's Around The World and local Ugandan church and ministry organizations in going and bringing emergency food, playgrounds, and Gospel witness to this remote region. Let's remember them in our prayers as they represent Trinity in this incredible outreach.

On August 25, we will be hosting a sew-a-thon for Days for Girls. Each month girls around the world must miss a week of school because of a lack of basic sanitary supplies. Days for Girls is an international organization that makes kits of re-usable, washable supplies.  Two sessions will be held: 9am - 1:15pm and 12:45-5pm. Pizza lunch will be available for $5. Bring your sewing machine if you can, but sewing machines and all materials will be provided. Whether or not you sew, come join us; last year over 100 people attended. There are lots of jobs to be done! For information contact  Jeannine Cawthon Becky Glagola  (352-335-7369), or  Radha Selvester .
