NEW! $1/SQ. FT. LANDSCAPE TRANSFORMATION REBATE
Does your yard need a makeover? PWP's new Landscape Transformation program provides a rebate of $1 per square foot for new landscapes that incorporate water-saving plants, technology, irrigation systems and hardware. To help you understand the benefits of rainwater capture in your garden, PWP now offers a Watershed Wise Landscaping Workshop Series . Starting on September 8, these FREE workshops will cover topics such as plant choices, building healthy soil, irrigation retrofitting, and more. Visit our Landscape Transformation Program page for more information on the program and the upcoming workshops.
NEW EV REBATES FOR RESIDENTS & BUSINESSES
One of the easiest ways to reduce your carbon footprint is to switch to an electric vehicle from a traditional gas-powered vehicle. PWP is here to help you make the switch with a more robust Electric Vehicle Program, which launched on August 1. The enhanced program is for a limited time only and includes:

  • Up to $250 rebate for residential electric customers who purchase or lease a new or used EV
  • Double the residential EV rebate, or up to $500, for customers who purchase or lease a new or used EV from a local auto dealer in Pasadena OR qualify as a low-income PWP customer
  • Triple the residential EV rebate, or up to $750, for low-income customers who also purchase or lease a new or used EV from a local auto dealer in Pasadena
  • $600 rebate for installing a Wi-Fi-enabled EV charger in a residence
  • Commercial customers can also recieve up to $50,000 per site for installing smart EV chargers (up to $6,000 per unit)

To learn more details about the new incentives, as well as information about other non-PWP incentives and resources, visit our Electric Vehicles page.
2017 POWER CONTENT LABEL NOW AVAILABLE
The State of California requires retail electricity suppliers like PWP to annually inform its customers about the energy resources used to generate the electricity they sell. PWP provides this information through its Power Content Label (PCL). The 2017 PCL is a report that shows not only PWP's power supply content, but it also provides a breakdown for the entire State power mix.

PWP's PCL webpage features the 2017 report, as well as the utility's power supply content from the past ten years. To learn more, please visit our Power Content Label page.
LEARN ABOUT THE QUALITY OF YOUR DRINKING WATER
PWP also informs its customers about the state of Pasadena's water quality on a yearly basis, through its annual Consumer Confidence Report on Water Quality (CCR). PWP is pleased to announce that Pasadena's water supply has once again met all drinking water quality standards.

The 2017 CCR includes a summary of tests completed by PWP’s Water Quality Lab, such as information on water supply sources, drinking water contaminants, and water quality data for the City of Pasadena. To learn more about the 2017 and other previous CCRs, visit our Water Quality page.
REMINDER: NEXT IRP MEETING ON AUGUST 23
The development of the 2018 Power Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) , Pasadena’s long-range blueprint for supplying reliable and environmentally-responsible electricity at competitive rates, is well underway. PWP will utilize community feedback as an essential part of the process, and will continue to collect feedback until the IRP is submitted by January 1, 2019.

PWP held the first of two community meetings on Wednesday, July 18, where a large number of participants provided PWP with feedback. The second meeting will take place on Thursday, August 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hastings Ranch Library (3325 E Orange Grove Blvd).

We encourage you to attend the meeting to learn more about the plan, but if you can't make it, there are still plenty of ways to participate. Please visit our IRP page to take the IRP survey, submit a question, download presentation materials, sign up for the mailing list, and much more.
