WORKSAFE Partnership Wins an OSCAR
The partnership between Iowa OSHA Consultation and Master Builders of Iowa has been recognized by the United States Department of Labor. The WORKSAFE program received an “OSCAR” at a recent regional conference meeting for its collaborative efforts between the industry and Iowa OSHA. The OSCAR (On-Site Consultation Achievement Recognition) was award to Iowa OSHA Consultation for its efforts to work with contractors and construction companies – via the WORKSAFE program - that traditionally never utilized OSHA consultation services.

As you may know, WORKSAFE is the nation’s first safety program involving a public-private partnership. Since 2012, WORKSAFE has been offering a customized safety approach that is unique to each project and job site team. WORKSAFE is a construction job site recognition program that consists of pre-construction planning, job site surveys focused on preventing hazardous conditions from occurring, while also providing recognition that safety is a top priority for all involved in the project.
