This Sunday at UUCSC June 21, 2020 While we cannot gather on Sundays, Rev. Helfer and Music Director Michael Galib bring us an audio service every Sunday at 10 am, and it remains accessible all week from the front page of our website.  UUCSC Website

Sing Along! We will be safely distributing hymnals to all who would like to sing along with future virtual services. There is also a  rumor  afoot of a possible virtual hymn sing this summer. Unitarian Universalist Association General Assembly Goes Virtual

Announcing Our UUA Delegates Larry Kelland, Martina Muller and Carol Layne will be representing UUCSC this year at GA. Learn about the Social Witness Opportunities that they will be considering.

Some local connections to GA 2020 1) Tomaquag Museum is the featured non-profit organization selected for its outstanding work in the Indigenous People’s community, and will be receiving the GA Sunday Service contributions. 2) Myron Waldman & Betsy Dalton have a virtual poster session, “Accessibility for All: From Inspiration to Reality," complete with video. 3) Michael Galib is helping the GA organizers plan and hold a “Fun Music Night.”  More details to come.

Our Stories

Everyone Has a Story When I first came to UUCSC, one of the things I really appreciated was the monthly newsletter column Getting Acquainted with Each Other written by Helene Gersuny. Helene’s warm and witty writing inspired me to write this new column, Our Stories , sixteen years later. Helene was reluctant to be interviewed at first saying she was a shrinking violet. Saturday, June 20, 2020 . . . 12 Noon Curtis Corner Middle School Showing Up for Racial Justice‎ South County Car Rally to Defund the Police  Goal: To arouse interest and concern about local police policies and budget. You don’t have to have all the answers in order to call for defunding the police! You just need to know that this is a way that your community can reallocate resources towards needed services and to take concrete action to make Black lives matter in your town.
