Old SR 74 Work from Olive Branch-Stonelick Rd. to Armstrong Blvd. Improves Safety Along Important Corridor

Following nearly a year of construction, the Clermont County Transportation Improvement District has completed an important project to widen a portion of Old SR 74 from Olive Branch-Stonelick Road to Armstrong Boulevard. The road opened to traffic earlier this month.

The completed project enhances safety and access in the area through a number of improvements that address both current and expected traffic conditions along this well-traveled corridor. As part of the project:

Old SR 74 was widened, including increasing the shoulder width on each side of the road and adding a new center turn lane, which improves traffic flow and safety. Center turn lanes have been proven to reduce the number of rear-end collisions;
New curbs and gutters were installed;
Pedestrian access was enhanced through the addition of new sidewalks; and
Signal upgrades were made at the Olive Branch-Stonelick and Amelia-Olive Branch intersections.

This project supports previous work that extended Old SR 74 to College Drive.
