Folks, we are STILL again having serious issues with traffic and parking at our Cheat Lake Fields.
This is very disappointing, as the only traffic we get there is from our members, and the only drivers we see are parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, brothers sisters, etc.... of our players!
We need YOUR help with this issue, or we are going to be forced to take actions that no one will be happy with :(
There is NO PARKING anywhere in the lower lot, EXCEPT in designated spaces.
There is NO PARKING along the road and the hill.
There is NO PARKING in the grass bank at the bottom of the hill
There is NO PARKING in the corners of the parking lot, and between the signs - even if those signs are faded.
As a final reminder, the following information is in effect immediately. Enforcement will be during weekday practices and for weekend games -
- If you are not a coach with equipment to carry, or if you are not pregnant, or if you do not have very young children with you, or if you are not handicapped, you should NOT even be driving down to the lower parking lot. Park at the top, and walk down - it's not that far, and it only takes a couple of minutes. - we hate to name names, but THANK YOU LAUREN BRYER!!! (She's a young mom that gets it and does with a smile!)
- If you see ANYONE walking on the road, SLOW DOWN!!!! The maximum speed in this area is 5 mph or slower!
- Park ONLY in designated spots - NO exceptions!! Do not try to get 'creative', as this only creates problems, and may result in your vehicle being towed at your expense and inconvenience.
Since we have not been able to resolve this issue, we will be contacting a towing service, with the following in effect:
- Towing at owners expense, plus a fine to be paid to the club
- Additional fees for Rec Soccer, to allow for parking attendants to be hired
- Blocking off the lower parking lot entirely and making EVERYONE walk up and down
This is a very serious issue, with a very easy resolution - common sense and consideration for others. Let's all do our part, and keep OUR children safe!
