God certainly blessed us with great weather today and inspiring leadership from the staff at Trinita!

Thank you all for being so supportive of our Saturday retreat. We realize that the sports schedule made it challenging for some of you, but we are so appreciative of your willingness to work with us and have your kids attend.

Sophomores, thank you for your attentiveness, good humor, and participation. We heard a lot of laughter and encouragement from the ropes course!

It was a fun day—from the icebreaker games to the community building on the ropes course that emphasized the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We bet that each of you can now name most of them and hope that as you grow in your faith, these gifts become a stronger part of your life to help bring you closer to Jesus and find your place with him.

Parents, have your kids tell you about the powerful wrap-up of the day—the different faces of Jesus, which face left an impact on them, and their thoughts on the video skit about the various obstacles that can stand between us and Jesus. You could hear a pin drop, so we know they were all paying attention!

Our next meeting time is October 5 for the group going to Loaves and Fishes (Mr. O’Connell’s and Mrs. Swenby’s class) and October 6 for the rest of the classes. See you then.
