Many of us have watched as Hurricane Harvey has hit. Glenbard North High School has "adopted" a Houston high school and we are helping them collect ONLY UNTIL TUESDAY, SEPT. 5th AT NOON. If you want to help, drop off any of these items at the Carol Stream Chamber office between 9am and 5pm:

Shampoo (travel size)
Mini tissues      
Mini wipes
Soap (bars/travel size)
Toothbrushes 
Toothpaste
Deodorant     
Combs    
Lip balm
New socks    
New T-shirts
Gum

SEPTEMBER 13th LUNCHEON: MAXIMIZE MEMBERSHIP

We will have an informative and interactive Chamber luncheon on Wednesday, September 13th that will benefit:
  • New chamber members
  • Seasoned members
  • Prospective members
CELEBRATE CHAMBER WEEK

We always encourage our chamber members to meet fellow members and forge business relationships, beneficial to both parties.

September 11th through 15th is CHAMBER WEEK across Illinois. This is a fantastic time to look over your contacts or peruse the directory to see what businesses you could use. 

Need to go out for a meal? Try one of the chamber restaurants. What else does your business need or do you need at home? Signs, business cards, new car to insure, need a new car? Do you have a will?Need to "gift" someone a meal or coffee? See if you can "shift" some business towards a member...and tell us about it. 
 
BUSINESS AFTER HOURS SEPTEMBER 21
Mathieson, Moyski, Austin, & Co. are opening their office to us for our next After Hours. This is a great opportunity....have you attended one lately?

Make a plan to come out September 21st.

LIMITED TABLES OPEN FOR EXPO SEPTEMBER 22nd

Our 11th annual "What Women Want" Expo is filling up! Be a sponsor, have a table, let us stuff your flyers in the bags, or be a volunteer. There are giveaways, food,  and prizes at this Friday, September 22nd 10:00am to 2:00pm "pink" event.

NEWS FLASH - At the expo to meet and greet will be Patti Vasquez, WGN Radio Personality, Comedienne and CEO of "With Kind Words." Never a dull moment with Patti around.

We hope our members will have a booth or be a Tasting Sponsor. Also available is the opportunity to have your advertising in the Goodie Bags. Plan today on what you could distribute: menu, new product sheet, coupon, business card. Another idea is to give us your promotional items to stuff into the bags. Either way....
 
NETWORKING IN THE MORNING OCTOBER 3

Networking in the Morning is held every other month, the first Tuesday of even months. It's our Before Hours event at which you can meet and get to know fellow chamber members.  Pitch Partners is what sets it apart from any other event we hold.  

Grab some business cards and come out on Tuesday morning, October 3rd at Edward Jones on Schmale in Carol Stream.
SAVE THE DATE - FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER @ IVY
Take one AFTER HOURS, add a FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER and what do you get? A lot of fun, networking, and success!

Save the date and plan on coming by Ivy restaurant in Wheaton on Thursday, October 19th. Help us raise funds for scholarships for local students. We thank our friends at Ivy for their offer to host us again and for their generosity!
