Our membership drive is a major source of funding for the school year. The membership drive funds our directory and supports key initiatives including cultural assemblies, the Father-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Event, Family Movie Night, Field Trips & more. The more successful our membership drive is, the less we will need to ask for funds throughout the school year. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Art in the Classroom

Art in the Classroom (AIC) is  PTO-sponsored and parent/ volunteer run, so we need your help! Our goal is to  provide an art history program that offers Jefferson School students a  snapshot of prominent works of art by a wide range of famous artists. You do  not need to know anything particular about art, as all the materials, lessons  and project ideas are provided for you. The kids love this program, but we  really need to secure volunteers for each grade and classroom in order to make  it a success.

If you are interested in volunteering, please email your AIC  co-chairpersons, Kristin Lester and Jenny Chismark, with the grade and  classroom teacher for which you'd be interested in presenting a lesson. Dates  will be determined based on volunteer level and availability of classroom time.  We may focus initially on the single-session days as ideal AIC opportunities,  but we'll figure it out as interest is gauged.

This is a great program and we'd  love to see it continue again this year. We do sincerely need your help though,  and look forward to engaging all these amazing budding artists. To review some Frequently Asked Questions (click here).

Most sincerely,
Your Jefferson School AIC co-chairpersons,
Kristin Lester  ([email protected]) and
Jenny Chismark ([email protected])
