In partnership with Deaf Community Services and San Diego Regional Center, CCS was awarded Office of Violence Against Women funding to deepen each agency's capacity to serve survivors of violence who are Deaf/deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, or DeafBlind and/or individuals living with intellectual or developmental disabilities.  This will affect all program and service areas throughout CCS.

After a successful pilot program, CCS was granted funding for a new position to  support advocacy for victims of intimate partner violence across San Diego County as they undergo hospital forensic examination, evidence collection, law enforcement interactions and potential entry into judicial systems following a severe assault or strangulation attempt.
