With the Petroleum engineering background, Mr. Marsili worked in Eni and Enterprise Oil before joining Shell 16 years ago as Area Development Lead for Gannet cluster in UK North Sea. Mr. Marsili covered a number of Asset Commercial roles in UK and Italy. Mr. Marsili worked in NBD as Head of M&A in Shell Energy Europe and as Senior Business Development Manager responsible for the Iraq South Gas project.

More recently Mr. Marsili worked as the Venture Implementation Manager and Commercial Director for Basra Gas Company Joint Venture in Iraq.

Exxon Mobil Corporation: ExxonMobil Earns $4 Billion in Second Quarter of 2018

Twst.com, July 27, 2018:  Exxon Mobil Corporation today announced estimated second quarter 2018 earnings of $4 billion, or $0.92 per share assuming dilution, compared with $3.4 billion a year earlier. Cash flow from operations and asset sales was $8.1 billion, including proceeds associated with asset sales of $307 million. During the quarter, the corporation distributed $3.5 billion in dividends to shareholders. Capital and exploration expenditures were $6.6 billion, up 69 percent from the prior year, reflecting key investments in Brazil, the U.S. Permian Basin and Indonesia.  Read more...
Lukoil starts installation of wellhead platform substructre at the Vladimir
Filanovsky field

Youroilandgasnews.com, July 31, 2018: LUKOIL completed transportation and started installation of the substructure for the wellhead platform (mini offshore ice-resistant fixed platform) at the Vladimir Filanovsky field in the Caspian Sea.
The wellhead platform is designed to produce and gather crude oil, as well as to supply it to the central processing platform of the first stage of the field. The wellhead platform is being built as part of the third stage of the field, which is implemented to develop the Western part of the reservoir and maintain stable production plateau.  Read more...

Russia to host the 25th World Energy Congress

Tass.com, August 1, 2018: The World Energy Council (WEC) has announced that Russia will be the host of the next World Energy Congress held in 2022. The announcement follows a vote to select the winning bid from proposals submitted by Portugal, the USA, and Russia, during which it was decided that the 25th World Energy Congress will take place in St. Petersburg from 11 to 15 June. Read more...
Rosatom, Necsa to cooperate in nuclear medicine

World-nuclear-news.org, July 27, 2018: Rusatom Healthcare - a subsidiary of Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom - and the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa) have signed an agreement to cooperate on non-power applications of nuclear technology, particularly nuclear medicine. Under the agreement, the partners plan to construct two small-scale reactors as well as a cyclotron in South Africa for the production of medical isotopes.  Read more...
Gazprom Neft Plots Their Path To A Digital Future

Forbes.com, July 30, 2018 One company striving to grasp the digital thread is Russian giant Gazprom Neft. The company is active in all of Russia's major oil and gas regions, selling throughout the Russian Federation and exporting its products to more than 50 countries worldwide.
Alexey Vashkevich, head of geo exploration at Gazprom Neft is clear that each company needs to base their strategy on their value drivers and then identify which product they need to use for the digital transformation. "When we started this process, we had about 200 ideas in the digit al area," he says. 
NOVATEK spuds 1st well at the North-Obskiy license area

Neftegaz.ru, July 30, 2018:  NOVATEK announced that its subsidiary Arctic LNG 3 commenced drilling of the first well at the North-Obskiy license area located in the shallow waters of the Ob Bay.  The initial well is drilled using a jack-up floating drilling rig Amazon leased from Gazprom flot. The drilling process is based on zero discharge principle, whereby all of the waste products are collected and transported 125 km to Sabetta onshore base.  Read more...
Russia to host the IPHS 2020 conference

Tass.com, July 27, 2018: For the first time Russia will host the International Planning History Society Conference. Through the collaborative effort of the Russian Convention Bureau and the Concord Group supported by the Roscongress Foundation, following the presentation of the Russia's bidding committee, Moscow was chosen as the venue for the IPHS 2020 conference. The conference will take place on 1-5 July 2020. Its theme will be 'City Space Transformation: Renovation of The Urban Environment'.  Read more...
Sberbank runs AI contest

Finextra.com, July 31, 2018: Sberbank announces the beginning of the Classic AI competition as part of its project to develop artificial intelligence. The participants of the competition will develop an algorithm that will create a poem in style of a given author, based on the received part of their text in Russian.  Read more...
Tajikistan increases wheat import from Kazakhstan

Azernews.az, August 3, 2018: Tajikistan has increased wheat imports from Kazakhstan by 65,000 tons in the first half of this year, which exceeds the indicator for the same period last year by 15 percent, the Antimonopoly Service under the Government of Tajikistan said in a statement Aug. 2.  Read more...
Russia and Kazakhstan to make rocket for Moon and Mars flights

Vestnikkazkaza.net, August 1, 2018: Kazakhstan will participate in designing Russian super-heavy lift launch vehicle at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan (Kazkosmos) said.
Creation of the super-heavy class space rocket complex is foreseen at the Baikonur among major space projects of Kazakhstan and Russia according to the approved conceptual framework of further cooperation, RIA Novosti reported.
Kazakhstan also plans together with Russia to create an ultra-light rocket to launch small satellites and to start production of rocket spare parts at Baikonur Cosmodrome.  Read more...
Trade between Azerbaijan and Udmurtia increased three-fold

Azertag.az, August 3, 2018: Trade between Azerbaijan and Udmurtia amounted to $2.27 million in the first five months of the year, which is three times more than in the same period of 2017, said first deputy chairman of the government of Udmurt Republic of Russia Alexander Svinin as he met with an Azerbaijani delegation headed by vice-president of the National Academy of Sciences, MP Isa Habibbayli.  Read more...

Eadaily.com, 1 августа, 2018: Крупнейшее в мире трубоукладочное судно Pioneering spirit уложило половину морского участка второй нитки «Турецкого потока». По данным навигационного портала Marinetraffic, судно находится в центре Черного моря. До крымской Алупки и турецкого Тюркели - 136 километров, до западного и восточного берега Черного моря по прямой - около 500 километров. Работы ведутся при глубине более 2 километров.
