Greetings Friend,

Let's run the numbers: the Bellingham market continues to be fast paced. In September in Bellingham's core neighborhoods (Alabama Hill, Birchwood, Columbia, Cornwall Park, Downtown, Happy Valley, South Hill, Sunnyland and York) my report shows there were:
  • 15 home sales
  • 10 out of the homes sold for over asking price.
  • Sold prices were down a bit over previous months. I have two ideas about that: (1) Some of the homes that sold needed major remodeling or at least some remodeling and (2) This illustrates that finding a home in the $300,000's is still possible even in this competitive market.
If you are interested in what's happening in a different part of town or in another city, please reach out to me. I'm able to generate a report for any area in Washington state.

Did you know I also broker commercial real estate? Case in point - I caught wind that Johnny Lupo of Boardworks Tech Shop was looking for a new storefront. He specializes in snowboard gear, accessories, repair and tuning. I was able to help him secure new digs on Railroad Ave. in the old Man Pies space. Boardworks' new spot is open now, plus Johnny is planning a grand opening on October 26th. And, The Bellingham Herald featured Boardworks in a recent article. Check it out!

One last thing - I know a lot of you use sites like Zillow to see new listings in town. If you'd like a custom search straight from the Northwest Multiple Listing Service to your email inbox, please contact me. I'd be more than happy to set that up for you.
