Blue Plate Special
Click the photo for a song that's pure paradise!
The "Blue Plate Special" was a commonly used phrase from the 1920's through the late 20th century in mid-range restaurants and diners. It was used to describe a daily special consisting of a complete meal - usually meat, one or two veggies and potato - sold at a reduced price. The special was typically determined by on-hand or cheaply purchased ingredients. Chopped meat was both economical and readily available, so meatloaf became a standard "blue plate special" at many diners.

Ain't no doubt about it.... this meatloaf is a home run!
