Orange Schools PRIDE
All In The Name of Science
Congratulations to the more than 50 Brady Middle School students who submitted projects for the 2017 BMS Science Fair! First place went to seventh grader Daniel Suh who explored the question, 'What brand of battery lasts longest?" Second place went to eighth graders Ava Rezaee and Allie Yuan who asked "Does looking at a picture have a lasting effect on memory, or do words?"
Young Entrepreneur's Selling Bee
Moreland Hills School fourth grader Oriana Arnold was recently selected as a top winner (in the K-4 division) out of 775 entries in the Young Entrepreneur Institute’s “Selling Bee Contest!” Her pitch was entitled, “Joy Jar Compliments.” Students had to formulate a business idea, develop a pitch, and make videos of themselves presenting the pitch. Kiwanis Recognizes Orange Senior of the Month
The Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle name Orange High School senior Zoe Landskroner as its December Kiwanis Senior of the Month. Each year the Kiwanians’ Youth Services Committee works with Orange High School staff members to recognize OHS seniors who have shown significant contributions of dedicated service to the school community, civic involvement, exemplary integrity, and attributes of leadership through actions, character, and academic achievement.
Students Donate to
Coins for Courage
The coins have been counted and this year Moreland Hills School students proudly donated more than $1300 to Honor Flight Cleveland as part of the Coins for Courage drive. Honor Flight pays tributes to US Veterans by providing them a safe and memorable all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials honoring their service.
