Women's Soccer
On Friday afternoon, the Hornets proved too much for El Camino beating the Warriors 3-0 on the road under the hot sun. Up Next: FC (3-0 overall) will play again on the road Friday, Sept. 13 against Rio Hondo College at 6 p.m.
Football
The FC football kicked off the 2019 season on Saturday against visiting Golden West College, and held off the surging Rustlers 38-33. It was all Hornets for the first three quarters with GWC making a run in the fourth, but Fullerton held strong in the end preserving the win. Up Next: The Hornets (1-0 overall) will host another one at Yorba Linda High's Nathan Shapell Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 14 when they welcome the No. 1 team in the country (JCGridiron) Riverside City College at 1 p.m. Come on out for this one and support your Hornets!
Men's Soccer
Fullerton played in the Mt. San Antonio Invitational over the weekend beating College of the Desert in the opener on Friday 2-1. In the championship game on Sunday the tourney host Mt. SAC, the Hornets lost 1-0 on a free-kick in the 62nd minute. Up Next: FC (2-2-1 overall) will host Antelope Valley College on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 3 p.m.
Women's Volleyball
The FC women's volleyball squad beat L.A. Harbor 3-0 (25-11, 26-24, 27-25) on Friday and then lost in a dog-fight at home Saturday 3-2 (26-24, 19-25, 20-25, 25-22, 15-12) against El Camino College. Up Next: Fullerton (2-3 overall) will travel to Mt. San Antonio College on Wednesday, Sep. 11 for a non-conference match at 6 p.m.
Women's Water Polo
The Hornets came out firing to open the season at the Saddleback Tournament winning all four of their games to take the tourney. Fullerton beat Grossmont 16-4, Palomar 21-4, Sierra 16-3, and Ventura 16-3. Up Next: Fullerton (4-0 overall) will not play until Wednesday, Sept. 18 when they take on conference rival Riverside City College on the road at 4 p.m.
Men's Water Polo
The FC men's water polo team played in the Citrus Tournament over the weekend splitting their games at 2-2. On Saturday, FC beat Chaffey 17-7 and then beat Santa Monica 16-7. Sunday was a different story as FC tested their skills against a couple of four-year schools falling 19-6 to Occidental and 13-11 to Occidental. Up Next: The Hornets (2-2 overall) will play again on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Riverside City College for the conference opener at 3 p.m.
Men's Cross Country
The Hornets had a nice outing at the Palomar Invitational at Guajome Park in Oceanside. They placed fourth overall out of 10 teams. Up Next: Fullerton will compete in the SoCal Preview at Mission Bay Park in San Diego on Friday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m.
Women's Golf
FC featured one golfer in Daelyn Torres at the College of the Desert last Wednesday. Torres ended the day shooting 100. Up Next: FC will hit the links at Mt. San Jacinto on Monday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m.
