If you are opening this week's issue over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, I hope this finds you able to spend some of it with friends and family. After Monday, we are down to just two regular school days for 2019-2020. Hopefully all of our Grenadiers have turned in any missing work by this point, but if not, please do so right away.

In this issue we have included some important end of year events and dates that impact all of our Grenadiers, not just the seniors. So please take a close a look to see what applies to you or your student.

We are looking forward to this Friday's Class of 2020 Senior Drive-Thru which takes place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (details below). And as a reminder to those of you reading this on the weekend, the Orlando Sentinel has published a full list of all graduates in their Sunday edition (below). You may want to pick up a copy.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day and thank you for taking a moment on this special day to remember all the service men and women that gave their lives in protecting our country.

It's Great To Be A Grenadier!

ESOL Awards

Although we are experiencing a pandemic, Colonial High School did not allow it to prevent us from celebrating outstanding students in our ESOL program.  Our support staff members, Mrs. Armenteros and Mrs. Fernandez, collaborated with ESOL teachers to develop a special recognition event.  A CHS alumni shared his experiences and over 45 students and parents attended the virtual celebration through a teleconference platform: Big Blue Button.

Over forty-five students and parents joined up online for our ESOL Award Celebration. Congratulations again to all those students who were recognized!
