Invite an Amity to Spend Time with Your Family!
Diana, Elda, Jennifer, Lina, Patricia and Yoana are the wonderful Amity Interns working at Puesta del Sol each day to support our teachers and students!

They are here from Spain, Columbia, and El Salvador, through the Amity Institute, whose mission is to build cultural understanding and international friendship and involve young people from abroad in American community, education, and family life.

The interns would love to meet as many families as possible in our community. Please consider inviting one or more of the interns to join your family for dinner, game night, on an outing, or to share in a holiday tradition. You can view bios and email addresses for each intern here. Please contact the Amity Interns directly to invite them to spend time with your family.

The PTA is seeking a Programs Volunteer to coordinate our after school PTA-sponsored programs.   The Co-VPs of Educational Enhancement have the Fiesta Latina, Tambores, Flamenco, Bomba del Sol and Salsa/Hip Hop after school programs up and running for the fall, but need support in improving processes and keeping things running smoothly to provide our students a safe and enriching after-school experience! Contact edenhancement@ puestadelsolpta.org for more information!

Join the Nominating Committee!

We're looking for five PTA members who will interview and nominate candidates to fill next year's open PTA board positions.
Nominating committee is a short-term position, and committee members will be officially elected at the November general meeting. It's a great way to get to know parents and contribute in a big way! Please email adminsupport@

 for details.
