FIESTA 2018: THE GOLD STANDARD
FIESTA is now just three months away.  Make sure you have this important date on your calendar, February 17, 2018. Online registration will be open in January.

ALUMNAE AWARDS
Mercy Alumnae are making a difference in their communities every day and we want to show our appreciation!  If you know a Mercy Alumna making an impact please nominate her for the Distinguished Woman of Mercy Alumna Award for women who have graduated more than 15 years ago or The Young Woman of Mercy Alumna Award for women who have graduate more than five years ago but less than 15 years ago.
 
Information on nomination criteria, the nomination forms and more information is available  here.   Self-nominations and posthumous nominations will not be accepted. Nominations are due by January 1. The awards will be announced at FIESTA 2018 and presented at the All-School Reunion on June 3, 2018.

MEMORIAL MASS
The Mercy Community gathered on Saturday, November 4 to honor those who had passed away in the last year.  Close to 200 people attended this important event.  Loved ones of those who had passed were involved in the Mass and were able to view the names of those being remembered on our Memorial Wall.
YARD SIGNS
Show your Mercy pride and pick up a free Mercy yard sign at school.  These are available on a first come, first served basis. You must come to the east entrance during school hours to pick up one from Katy Butts '03, Alumnae Relations Director & Events Manager.  

Put them in the yard, take a selfie and post on social media using #MercyHighOmaha. 

ALUMNAE COUNCIL
The Alumnae Association is governed by the Alumnae Council, which consists of 16-21 members and the Alumnae Director.  Members are inducted into the Council by the President of Mercy High School and a majority vote by the officers of the Council.  They assist with alumnae events, promote Mercy High School in the community and support the mission of the school.

LUNCH & LEARN 
Please let your family, friends and neighbors know about a new recruitment event, our prospective parent Lunch & Learn.  The last one this year will be held on Thursday, December 7.  This is an opportunity over the lunch hour from noon to 1:00 p.m. to have an informal discussion about the school with leadership.

ALUMNAE SHADOW DAY
October 11 marked our first ever Alumnae Job Shadow Day.  Planning for next year's Shadow Day will begin in the spring. If you are interested in hosting a senior next year please contact Katy Butts '03 at 402. 553. 9424 or  [email protected].

ALUMNAE APPRECIATION
AT THE FALL MUSICAL
Come back in time with us to the founding of our nation for 1776 The Musical with an all-female cast!  Help the girls kick off the theater season on Wednesday, November 29  at 7:00 pm.  Seating is limited.  Each alumna is limited to three seats including herself and two guests.  Reserve early.

SCHOOL NEWS

It is Spirit Week with a theme of "Once Upon A Nocturne." Each day, students, faculty and staff are dressing up and participating in contests from the faculty/staff soup/chili contest, to "guessing the movie," to costume contests, to class hall decorations and more.  Saturday, November 18 is Nocturne at the school and alumnae are invited to the coronation which should be around 10:30 p.m.
