On masks and hydroxychloroquine,
as a physician, I know science supports
President Trump
Dr. Robin   Armstrong,
National Committeeman for Texas

The media is manufacturing a scandal instead of focusing on the real story: Opposing view

While Washington continues to ignore the very real scandal involving the unmasking of Michael Flynn at the hands of Obama administration officials like former Vice President Joe Biden, the media is manufacturing a different scandal: outrage at President Donald Trump for not wearing a mask and for taking hydroxychloroquine.

As a physician, I know the science supports President Trump’s decision.

Money For Wildlife And Banking For Cannabis Companies: Here's What Democrats Tacked Onto The Latest Stimulus Bill

The $3 trillion Heroes Act—the sweeping coronavirus rescue bill introduced by House Democrats this week—has been widely criticized as a laundry list of Democratic priorities because it includes many provisions seemingly unrelated to the current economic crisis. Here are just a few:

KEY FACTS
  • The bill includes a provision that would allow cannabis businesses to more easily access traditional banking and insurance services by preventing federally regulated financial institutions from being penalized for working with them.

  • It also requires that research be conducted on minority- and women-owned cannabis businesses.

  • The Heroes Act includes $250 million in grants to help reintegrate formerly incarcerated individuals into society and prevent recidivism; while those grants aren’t directly related to the coronavirus crisis, the bill does provide another $200 million for crisis response in federal prisons, which have been devastated by the virus.

  • It also allocates $10 million for the National Endowment for the Arts and $10 million for the National Endowment for the Humanities.

  • There’s also $71 million for the Fish and Wildlife Service, to help prevent diseases spread to humans by wildlife (the coronavirus originated from viruses carried by bats, though scientists don’t yet know how it made the jump to humans).

  • It would also repeal the SALT cap (the limit on state and local tax deductions), which Democrats have said is a way to boost Americans’ disposable income.

Campaign Update
Trump Victory continues an unprecedented virtual campaign as Joe Biden quarantines in his basement.

Trump Victory virtual campaign remains full steam ahead as the country continues to reopen. Throughout the pandemic, the Trump Campaign and RNC have turned to unprecedented virtual campaign tools to ensure there is safe campaigning.

In a matter of days, we effectively turned our unmatched ground operation into a voter contact machine all conducted remotely. Our digital campaign efforts have included voter outreach, utilizing online platforms to train thousands of members of the Trump Neighborhood Team, and online programming with top surrogates. Recently, we made a record 10 million phone calls for President Trump and Republicans in one week. We have signed up over 300,000 volunteers since the digital campaign began on March 13. Our grassroots army is over 1.2 million strong and by the end of the campaign cycle will surpass over 2 million volunteers. The Team Trump Online events have attracted over 1 million unique viewers per episode.

Protect The Vote
The RNC continues to fight Democrats’ efforts to take away election safeguards.

Democrats are attempting to use the global coronavirus outbreak to make nationwide election changes to fit their far-left agenda and give them a political edge. Democrats know they cannot beat President Trump in November, so they are trying to sue their way to victory. The calls for a national all-mail election would fundamentally change our voting process months before the election and the all-mail ballot proposal is nothing but an attempt to install ballot harvesting nationwide. Democrats’ plan would allow any person to return an unlimited number of absentee ballots, and in some cases get paid to return ballots.

Recently launched ProtectTheVote.com serves as a one-stop-shop and informational hub on the various legal efforts in which we have been involved in battleground states across the country to protect against the Democrats’ assault on our elections. This week, Chairwoman McDaniel sent a letter to Nevada Attorney General requesting an investigation into Democrats’ shady backroom deal that caused chaos. The RNC and Trump campaign have doubled their legal budget to $20 million to fight frivolous lawsuits. The resources will challenge Democrats’ voting-related lawsuits, hold state and election officials accountable when necessary, install a robust Election Day Operations Program (EDO), and prevent intimidation of our voters, political staff, and volunteers.

The Republican Party  supports free and fair elections and is open to being flexible on voting changes in light of the coronavirus, but we must also ensure the integrity of our elections. We will not let this pandemic be used as an excuse to throw election integrity out the window.

Transition to Greatness
The Trump Administration and states across the country continue to make progress on “Opening Up America” in a safe and responsible way.

President Trump laid out measured, data-driven guidelines to open America. The “Opening Up America” plan empowers our country’s governors and prioritizes the health and safety of Americans. A long-term shutdown has certainly taken a toll on the health and wellbeing of the American people. It is time to reopen our country and economy. On Friday, President Trump declared churches and places of worship as essential and called upon on nation’s governors to allow them to open. Throughout the entire pandemic, President Trump has led an aggressive and whole of America approach to slowing the spread of the virus.
