Tips to Keep Your Properties in Tip-Top Shape
Routine maintenance and inspections are a critical part of building and selling quality homes. Here are some quick tips for keeping your properties in good shape.
Check for Termites - Termite treatment should be done annually, and termite inspections should be a standard part of closing.
Yard and Tree Care - When it rains lawns require more frequent mowing. Weeding and other yard maintenance should be done on a regular basis, and remember to trim trees as needed to avoid damage to existing structures.
Weatherization - Protecting the home from the elements is essential to preserving the long-term integrity of a home, especially after construction and before sale. Proper weatherization also keeps energy usage down, and that ensures an affordable home comes with affordable utility bills.
Home Security - Please ask your brokers to keep an eye on the home while it's being marketed. Brokers should inspect the home at least once per week to make sure all windows are closed, doors are locked, and the key is safely placed in the lock-box.
