As they say in Tucson,
the ice melts in the Santa Cruz River on the first day the temperature reaches 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Well, that happened on June 2, 2016, and we went on to top out at 114 degrees last week - Wow! We are just as hot, hot, hot here in CBC with lots to celebrate this month, including another successful BlastOff! Camp for middle school students, a cool new discovery in the Charest lab, Ben Wu's selection to speak at the Beckman Symposium, and Dr. Jim Hazzard's saddling up to ride off into the sunset after 32 years at the University of Arizona. Enjoy!
