cer Council invite you to join us for a FREE day of learning, sharing and networking where cancer survivors and pr
oviders have an equal voice to listen and dialogue with each other. This year's Survivorship Forum will feature Keynote Speaker Scott Burton, a stand-up comedian, world-class juggler, author and can
cer survivor. Sessions will explore the following topics:
- Mindfulness
- Sexual Health
- Cancer and Employment
- Caring for the Caregiver
- Cancer and fitness

The Wisconsin HPV Vaccine Summits aim to
improve HPV immunization rates
throughout the state
by
providing updates, discussion opportunities and best practices. Two HPV Vaccine Summits will be
held
:
- May 11, 2016 in Wausau
- May 12, 2016 in Milwaukee
These free conferences are offered to vaccine advocates from organizations engaged in activities to improve health of adolescents and prevent cancer. Repre
sentatives from all organizations and providers who can implement HPV immunization program improvements and promote timely HPV immunizations are encouraged to attend.
These free conferences are sponsored by the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (WIAAP), Wisconsin Department of Health Services (WI DHS) Immunization Program, Scenic Rivers Area Health Education Center (SR AHEC) and the Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (WI CCC Program).

Upcoming WI CCC Plan Priority Webinar
The next WI CCC Plan Priority Webinar will feature
Priority 7 - Increase use of recommended cancer screenings. The webinar will be held June 14, 2016 from 3-4pm and will feature Jennifer Weiss, MD for the UW School of Medicine and Public Health along with Allison Antoine from the Center for Urban Population Health. Presenters will share health system approaches to increase colorectal cancer screening to 80% by 2018. Look for more information in our June newsletter.
About the 2016 WI CCC Plan Priority Webinar Series
Throughout 2016, the WI CCC Program will offer a webinar series for partners and WI Cancer Council members. The webinars will offer participants the opportunity to learn more about Priorities within the

| New Resources Added to Online WI CCC Plan |
A new resource has been added to the online WI CCC Plan resource section. It is a series of toolkits designed by George Washington University titled "
The National Cancer Survivorship Resource Center Toolkit". You can access resources for specific Priorities and Strategies when viewing the WI CCC Plan 2015-2020 online. Select the Priority you wish to explore and scroll to the bottom right of your screen. Under "Resources to take action" click on the Strategy to find resources to support your implementation activities.
- Implementing Clinical practice Guidelines for Cancer Survivorship Care: This resource can be found when referencing Priority 9, Strategies A and B, in addition to Priority 10, Strategy A. This tool aims to help implement clinical practice guidelines for cancer survivorship care.
- Cancer and Public Health Official's tools: This resource can be found when referencing Priority 9, Strategies A and B, in addition to Priority 10, Strategy A. This tool can be used to help ensure cancer survivors receive evidence-based follow up care.
- Patient, survivor, caregiver, and family member tools: This resource can be found when referencing Priority 9, Strategies A and D, along with Priority 10, Strategies A and B. It is aimed at assisting patients, their families and caregivers, when talking with physicians regarding cancer care. It outlines important topics pertaining to survivor care.

| Healthy Hospitals & Clinics Project Updates |
As a part of the Healthy Hospital Community of Practice, UW Health, a participating facility, released a series of videos highlighting the system's transition to offer healthier food and beverage options. Former UW Health CEO Jeffrey Grossman, MD, said the move toward healthy food and beverage options has been worth the effort because in a health care system, the return on investment is improved health.

Oncologists Should Promote the Cancer-Preventing HPV Vaccine
The human papillomavirus is responsible for approximately 600,000 of the 1 million new virus related cancer cases each year. However, the HPV vaccine has potential to reduce that number drastically. Dr. Howard Bailey, Director of the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, recently called out fellow oncologists to promote the vaccine as it is an "underused intervention".
WI Receives "A" for Palliative Care Services
The Center to Advance Palliative Care and the National Palliative Care Research Center recently graded each state based on the number of programs per hospital. Wisconsin earned a letter grade A, with 50 of the state's 57 total hospitals having a specified Palliative Care Program.
