Principal's Message
April 29, 2016
Dear Families and Friends of OLQP:

At OLQP, we are grateful to all of the many amazing people who work tirelessly to make this the best school it can be. Parents volunteer making copies for teachers, monitoring lunch (this involves helping children by poking straws into juice bags and opening fruit cups without getting sprayed with juice-special technique required), serving as chaperones on field trips, helping with play practice, serving on the Board of Trustees, serving on Home and School Association, and so much more. Teachers are planning lessons, grading papers and projects, organizing and planning field trips, decorating doors, getting their costumes ready for "Favorite Book Character Day," working on 8th grade graduation, May Crowning, the Art Show, and inspiring learning and reverence and grabbing on to every "teachable moment," and so much more! In the nurse's office, daily care is a constant as well as treating bug bites, evaluating bruises and scrapes, and thinking of ways to reduce the "back to school" paper work rush for the nurse (see "News You Can Use").  The staff is busy  answering phones, greeting visitors, giving tours, processing registration, supporting teachers, serving children, solving problems, celebrating successes,  substitute teaching, providing staff development, re-directing behavior, assessing programs, and so much more! In the midst of it all, are the children. Every person, every action, goes back to the mission of the school which is child-centered and motivated by the mission to share Faith and knowledge with the children.

Thank you for being part of the OLQP family.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam,
Mrs. Marianne Mechura, M.Ed.
