Join us for our transformative K-12 professional development learning experience in Education for Sustainability. 

Our flagship program returns to Manhattanville College for the 11th summer. Our widely respected facilitators will be joined by dynamic industry leaders who will provide thought-provoking insight, engaging activities and extensive resources to help you and your school incorporate the big ideas of sustainability into the curriculum. 

CELF's faculty is thrilled to welcome back Jen Cirillo, Director of Professional Development at Shelburne Farms, as a co-presenter this summer.

Participants are eligible for graduate credits or in-service credits based on district policy.

New York City becomes a living laboratory for teachers in Grades 5-12. 


A CUNY School of Law Social Justice Initiative

Connecting hard science and public policy, CELF is partnering with Mt. Sinai Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit and CUNY School of Law's Center for Urban Environmental Renewal to provide three powerhouse days of professional development for teachers in grades 5-12, with breakouts by level. 

Connect with industry-leading science research professionals to examine timely environmental health challenges and make authentic place-based learning connections. Come away with citizen science opportunities for your students.
 
Participants are eligible for graduate credits or in-service credits based on district policy. P-credits available for NYC DoE teachers, pending approval.

Alan Cass, CELF's Director of Education, Anthony Patierno, head of CELF's Student Ambassador Program, and our high school Student Ambassadors will present on Advocacy as an Integral Part of Student Learning. 

April 15-17, The Javits Center, NYC.
CELF Student Ambassadors will be share what they've learned about the freshwater crisis and how the LifeStraw can be used as a service learning tool. 

June 25-27, Wellesely, MA.
CELF's Director or Education, Alan Cass, and CELF Program Facilitator, Aimee Arandia Ă˜stensen  will present on 
Systems Thinking in Education for Sustainability.
