We Are Thankful For Our 'Friends'

As our thoughts turn to our uniquely American Thanksgiving holiday, it is always nice to take a few minutes to think about all the things in our lives for which we are grateful.

This November I am particularly grateful for the Friends of the East Brunswick Library. This dedicated group of volunteers are unflagging in their support and hard work to raise funds to make this library special. The Friends spend so many hours thinking about the library and planning fundraisers large and small to enable the library to offer new programs and services.

This past year the Friends sponsored the construction of three small group study rooms that are now a popular destination for many small meetings, homework groups, business meetings and folks that don't need a large meeting room for their activity.

In November the Friends offer two very popular programs: their Fall author meeting featuring local author Scott Mazzella and the "What's It Worth?" collectibles program, back by popular demand. So be sure to jot down the dates and plan on attending these programs so you too can say a personal "thank you" to the Friends for all that they do for your public library!
