Buying Green

This month on Sustainability News & Entertainment, host Diana Dehm explores "Sustainable Purchasing To Green Our Schools," with Yalmaz Siddiqui, Senior Director of Environmental Strategy at Office Depot and Co-Chair of the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council. Joining him will be Green Schools National Network director Jim McGrath and Dr. Marilyn Black, Founder of GREENGUARD, Senior Technical Advisor and LEED AP, Underwriters Laboratories.

The discussion is a warm up for our first-ever Solution Summit on the topic, debuting at March's Green Schools National Conference.

The conference summit, "Solutions for Sustainable Purchasing for Green Schools" will partner with the California Association of School Business Officials (CASBO) and feature experts from school districts, corporations and non-profit organizations to share solutions to procurement for purchasing of all Green School materials, supplies, equipment and services. This expanded programming for school business officials, administrators, and facility and food service directors, will help them to gain the knowledge they'll need to move their school districts toward a sustainable future.

The podcast will be available beginning Sept. 23 at:
