"Hope you all had a nice Memorial Day! I have just returned from business travel in Europe to warm, sunny weather in Manistee. Lots of things in the works for the month of June-- Dr. Shrink is currently working on our product catalog for 2016/2017 as well as introducing a couple new products to our lineup.
June is National Safety Month and we will be giving you some tips, tricks and a short video with information on how to stay safe while shrink wrapping with Dr. Shrink products. Remember, safety first! Below is a quick feature of some safety related items we carry; make sure you are on our blog email list to receive the rest of our safety tips during this month.

Dr. Shrink is building a company vegetable garden this summer! The team and I headed to a local greenhouse this morning where we picked out a variety of vegetables and herbs. Planting will hopefully commence this week if the weather cooperates and we will be posting photo updates on our Facebook page.

June is National Safety Month

Safety is always the main concern while shrink wrapping anything. We want you to be able to do the best job you can while working in a safe environment. Here are a few of our safety accessories to help protect you and keep you safe while shrink wrapping.
Dr. Shrink's Safety Gloves:
Our Safety Gloves have a long cuff to protect your wrists and clothing while shrink wrapping. They are non-flammable and safe to use with the open flame of a heat tool. Allows you to work safely while tucking the film and heat-welding around the perimeter band and heating your pleats/seams.

Protect your eyes from flame throwback while using the propane fired heat tool.
Dr. Shrink's Film and Strapping Knives:
All of our cutting tools have safe hooded blade ends for safe cutting of your shrink wrap and strapping. Can run either knife along the side of your boat while cutting shrink wrap to proper length, and can safely slide the tool into your back pocket when not in use.

an 11 pound tank and a 22 pound tank. Just like our standard 17 pound tank, they are 50% lighter than steel and come with comfortable ergonomic handles that allow for stacking and easy carrying. The outer walls are translucent, allowing you to see exactly how much propane is left in the tank. Each cylinder has a wide, stable base that prevents it from tipping over.

Unlike steel and aluminum tanks, Viking Cylinders® will not BLEVE in a fire. BLEVE is the technical abbreviation for Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion. In layman's terms, this means the cylinder will not explode in a fire. Instead, the resin will burn off and the plastic liner and casing will melt. The LPG will then "breathe" through the cylinder wall and burn in a controlled manner.
The 11 pound tank is most commonly used for applications such as: marine, camping, tailgating and grilling. The 22 pound tank is most commonly used for RV applications.
