Spring Time!
After a very long winter, which has not quite ended for some, we're happy to be sharing news with you about the artists we represent. First, it's a pleasure to welcome photographer Andrzej Pluta, from Canada and painter Sayzie Carr, into the gallery. Samples of their work are shown below along with quite a bit of press that other artists have been receiving along with some new work from others. Enjoy the images, warmer weather and come out and see us! Before we begin, we want to thank all of you for helping us to be named by London based " the Culture Trip.com" as one of the " Ten Best Art Galleries in Boston" !

Andrzej Pluta - New Photographer
Andrzej Pluta, a photographer residing in Canada, photographs flowers using a Sinar 8x10 camera and Fujichrome film. To create his unique style, he uses glass and liquids placed between the lens and the flowers to create beautiful painterly images that can be reproduced as enormous prints maintaining a very high resolution because of the large film used. There is no after-capture manipulation used.The images below, from the left are "Fleur 15", "Sun Wilds 53" and "M Series 5". Click on the images to see a full PDF portfolio.

Sayzie Carr - New Painter
Sayzie Carr is a painter who does contemporary, graphic and often very colorful work in different mediums. She has had her own graphic design firm in New York City and after having received a masters degree from the Rhode Island School of Design is currently teaching art at a school in Connecticut. The images below are from two of the five series of her work on our website. They are titled, from the left, "Full Moon Tree", 35 x 45 mixed media, "Amazement", 23 x 18, mono print and "Lost Trees", 22 x 28, mixed media.

Lisa Cueman
Lisa Cueman, our equine photographer, has just had her series of photographs of horses on the Outer Banks of North Carolina featured in the March, 2014 issue of "Shutterbug" magazine (click on the image to see the full article). Lisa is returning to the Banks for the fourth time this June to continue following the horses.

Michael Massaia
Michael Massaia was recently named by the Huffington Post as having created an image after Hurricane Sandy that made Julie Grahame's list of "2013's Most Striking Fine Art Photography". The Star Jet roller coaster, before the hurricane when it was still in operation on the boardwalk in New Jersey was also captured by Michael for his series titled, "Afterlife".

Sarah Benham has almost finished this new piece, "The Solstice Party", 72 x 48, oil on canvas, in preparation for her one person show at the Boston gallery, which will be opening Thursday, May 29 with a reception from 6-8 pm and running through July 6th. Classic Sarah work with the juxtapositions and relationships of the people and bright colorings that balance the composition so well.

George Shattuck - New Work
George Shattuck has released a new set of images which are a continuation of his beautiful and painterly work that is created by using a slow shutter speed along with a slight movement to his camera. These two are titled, "Out to See" and "Taconic Range in Fog".

Alessandro Puccinelli - New Work
Alessandro Puccinelli has released a new set of images of his van that he stays in while photographing the enormous ocean waves along the South coast of Portugal. He bought the old '81 motorhome in order to be able to spend as much time as possible next to the sea and began to photograph the van in various locations just before he would retire for the night. Surreal images, with this lonely foreign object within gorgeous landscapes, sea and skies.

John MacDonald - New Work
John MacDonald, who does oil paintings of the Berkshires, in Western Massachusetts, has had a very productive Winter. John has such a great understanding of the true color of light on snow and how it should be represented in sunshine or in a snow storm, has released work from this past season. The two here are, "Green River Road, Heavy Snow" 16 x 12, and "Afternoon Shadows" 24 x 24. Both oil on linen panel.

Brigitte Carnochan
Brigitte Carnochan just contacted us about having had an article of her work published by the Korean photography magazine titled, "Photo Dot" that contained images from four of her series, "Floating World", "Hand Painted Nudes & Botanicals", the more recent, "Platinum Palladium Botanicals" and the retrospective she put together of her early life in Germany, "Imagining Then". David Ricci
David Ricci, whose graphic and textural images have always been filled with visual information, has had a number of his images from his series, "Edge of Chaos II" chosen as an editor's pick for "LensCulture". (click on the image to see more from the article)

joSon
"Reader's Digest" just singled out the very graphic and elegant images of single flowers photographed by joSon for their website. (click on the image to see more of the article)
