6th Grade to participate in the Model Seder for Holocaust Survivors & Families
Families are encouraged to join their children at 10:30 a.m. for an interactive model seder featuring the 2nd edition of the HOLOCAUST HAGGADAH. The Haggadah contains stories by survivors, documented by JAFTY teens and Sandalwood HS students, writings by Rabbi Leif, artwork and reflections by Temple Institute of Religion 6th grade students.  Haggadahs will be available for purchase.

PreK-12th Grade Passover Whole Family Engagement
Let All Who are Hungry Come and Eat!
Join us for a morning of family learning and engagement about Passover. We will begin the morning with T'filah (worship) in the sanctuary at 9:30. Children and parents will then have time for learning with workshops for the parents taught by our rabbis and community members and students learning with their teachers and madrichim. We will then come back together for a chance to learn about hunger, food insecurity and homelessness in Jacksonville with representatives from Sulzbacher and JFCS. We will also make sandwiches, a tangible, yet small contribution to helping all who are hungry to eat, one of the key themes of our Passover Seders.

TIR Director Search

From Michelle Branly and Robin Mendelson, TIR Director Search Committee Co-chairs

To date, a search committee for Religious School Director has been formed and the position has been posted in multiple locations - you may even have seen the ad in this month's Jacksonville Jewish News.  We are happy to report that a number of resumes have been received and reviewed.  Preliminary interviews are being conducted over the next couple of weeks.  Once the field is narrowed, the committee will come together for additional interviews with the selected candidates. We anticipate these interviews to continue through March and early April.  Once it has been determined that  there are candidates we wish to bring to Jacksonville for in-person interviews, dates and times will be scheduled for meet and greet opportunities.

We are very excited about this process and are grateful for a strong, dedicated committee.  We want to assure you that we are not rushing to select a Director to meet a deadline, but will take the time necessary to choose a candidate that will best suit the needs of our growing Religious School and congregational family.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected] or [email protected].
